Lawyer Profile: Neinstein Personal Injury Lawyers profile: Gary Neinstein

We recently started a blog series introducing our readers to the Neinstein team, one at a time. Here we'll hear from Neinstein Personal Injury Lawyers head honcho Gary Neinstein on what keeps him inspired.

What inspired you to become a personal injury lawyer?

GN: There were many things, but most importantly I wanted to help people. I found that many lawyers who dealt with injury claims were only interested in their own financial gain rather than the rehabilitation of the individual. Because I had done some personal injury work, I thought this was a great opportunity to contribute by helping people recover from injuries as well as recovering compensation for them.

What is your particular area of expertise and what would you like people to know about it?

GN: I have a huge interest in head injuries and spinal cord injuries. In the many years that I have practiced, the discoveries that have been made in this area are fascinating and astounding. The amount of knowledge we have in this area of medicine is growing exponentially. In Israel, for example, they have been able to help paraplegics walk with electronic devices and sensory nerve devices. It’s incredible. These treatments are available now. The only problem is cost. I try to do everything in my power to allow my clients to access this type of medical advancements.

Describe a case early in your career that really affected you and solidified your decision to help people in this way.

GN: I took over a case several years ago where a mother had a badly injured child and nobody was helping her adapt to caring for her child under these new circumstances. I did whatever I could to help the mother and child have independent lives. The satisfaction of seeing this family grow and mature was really wonderful and it still gives me pleasure when I think about it today.

How do you go about making clients feel comfortable when they may have been through a trauma and they’re worried about their futures?

GN: I tell them that everything is in my capable hands and they don’t have to worry. I outline the procedures we use to get the best experts and the best case managers that money can buy. I always warn them about insurance companies and how low they’re willing to stoop, but I tell them we will fight for them no matter how long it takes. We also return all phone calls within 24 hours. Above all, it’s about great service and making sure our clients know we are there for them.
