Legal News: New Trial Ordered for Severely Brain-Injured Child
We were recently successful at the Ontario Court of Appeal in Farej v Fellows.
You may remember our client, Sabrin Farej and her family. Sabrin suffered a severe brain injury at birth because of a delay in Caesarean delivery. She cannot walk, cannot talk, and requires twenty-four (24) hour care.
After a long and complicated 10-week trial the Farej family received a devastating decision: The trial judge dismissed her case, finding in favour of the defendant physician. We knew our fight, and Sabrin’s justice, could not end there.
